As you know, President Obama signed the Hitech Act into law in 2009 which provides up to $44,000 to physicians to implement EHR. And, eDocSecure has been in the forefront of promoting these technologies and assisting PCP's in their journey.
We are now well into Year 2 of the Incentive Program and adoption rates among PCP's is still very slow...approximately 18% to 20%!
The first year reimbursement provides $18,000 to physicians. You will not qualify for the first year reimbursement if you do not begin attestation before October 30th. Attestation will normally occurs about 5 months after initial training and implementation, so you can see you are rapidly running out of time. Waiting until then means your second year reimbursement will be $13,000 and you will lose $5,000 by not acting now.
