Body Rolling produces profound change in the body from the very first session. Using various sizes of small balls to roll the body on, it is in combination a massage, a work out and chiropractic treatment. It is effective at improving alignment, relieving back pain and stress, preventing and healing injury, improving bone quality and creating a longer, leaner, freer body. This work builds core strength, increases flexibility, and improves range of motion.  It is a full body workout and a deep tissue massage all rolled into one!

Hello,

 

Hoping you are feeling fine and having an excellent start to Spring 2012.  

 

We've just returned from NYC where I was lucky enough to attend a gathering with 20 practitioners of the Body Logic community from all over the world-some from as far away as Japan and Russia. We had an incredible 5 day learning experience with Yamuna Zake as well as a sunny summer like week in NYC.  

 

Some of our NYC highlights included a specialized TMJ workshop that Yamuna shared tips, education and self-care 'Save Face' routines for people.  The event offered 'how to' routines for all, whether first time attendees or advanced Yamuna practitioners.  The work inside the mouth, to free restrictions and imbalances is easily done by people wishing to do this work themselves on a daily basis.  The vision of this work is to take the stress and pressure not only out of the bones of the head and face, but out of the teeth and jaws that negatively impacts alignment, wear and tear on teeth.  This impact and strain needs to be released from teeth, jaw bone and joints.  The jaw is the master joint in the body and we can spend a lot of time trying to remove aches, pains and imbalances in the rest of the body that originate in the head. I'll be presenting this new work April 15 in a 2 hour workshop setting.  

 

During the rest of the week, Yamuna shared more information that she has been developing for Knees, Feet, Shoulders, Spine and the Head.  She detailed Body Logic work for healing Knees and Feet, connecting to hips and spine to get calcification and wear and tear out of the bone and joints.  She was able to share success stories she has had with clients who were on their way to knee replacement surgery and never thought they could get proper knee function back.  This is such an important area of the body and for those willing to take the work seriously, can benefit and gain their legs back despite years of injury and impact.  The Spine and Shoulder work took us to another level...as the work continues to develop I keep describing it as 'Incredible'.  

 

And the final piece of new work was something very energetic and different for us-for clearing the deep channels of the body doing work from the center of the body and opening up the Vortex of energy that we all come in to this life with.  From Navel outward we spin and strengthen all areas from digestion, releasing old tensions and re-energizing organs, releasing scar tissue, increasing life force, and anything else that may feel constricted.  This gentle body of work creates a melting effect from front to back and through the entire spine. Increasing breath, space, and softening the heart through the ribcage 360 degrees.  Body Logic is being offered again the week of April 20.

This is called Foundations - Experiential Anatomy - The core of Yamuna Body Rolling and is a 3 day training (18 hours) that uses the Yamuna� balls to train you how to locate and work all the muscles of your legs, anterior torso, and posterior torso


We start you at the beginning feeling your own muscles from origin to insertion. Knowing how to find and feel your own muscles are crucial to problem solving and helping others to heal themselves.

Anyone who has had some experience with YBR�, wishes to go deeper into their own self-evaluation and possibly become a certified practitioner is welcome to enroll in Phase 1.

 

This course will be presented one more time in May before our June and July advanced training program Phase 2 begins.  If you are interested in more information about this curriculum, please give me a call.

Foot pain is easily resolved with this leading edge bodywork. Taking care of your feet is the ultimate anti-aging supplement. Everyone has to take care of his/her feet. Come and learn quick, concise basics that can be used at any age to improve foot health.  

 

Foot Basics begins with the walking test. This simple test allows you to self-assess your ability to walk using each part of the foot. Then, a class takes you into working the outside edge, the middle, and the inner edge of your foot. Once you have learned how to work all three lines in your feet, a second walking test helps you see how quickly you can correct your stance - and your posture. You literally stand taller when the muscles of your feet are actually supporting you.

 

The focus of this class is to understand the anatomy of your feet, legs and spine and how to create structural alignment from the ground up. We will work from the Feet up to the Spine creating space and ease.

 

Once one has experienced the work, it is easily taken home to work out the body for relaxation and to utilize as part of one's fitness/stretch routine. Join us for an morning workout that will balance the body and enhance performance and comfort in all of your other sports and fitness routines.

 

Yamuna� Foot Wakers were developed to increase flexibility, bring back movement and separation of the bones of the foot, improve muscle tone, and increase circulation and to "get your shoes out of your feet." They wake the feet up and get them moving the way they should.

Whatever unresolved stress you have in your life often winds up in your Tempo-mandibular joint (TMJ) when you are sleeping. Clenching, grinding, and clamping down of the jaw during sleep causes all kinds of problems in the rest of the body. The TMJ is a master joint in the body and it regulates general tension levels in all the other joints of the body, especially the hip and shoulder joints.

  

People often grind down their teeth and their jaw and cause significant bone damage, and create constant headaches and neck pain. Lots of money is being spent on dental appliances, injections, and periodontics.  

  

This workshop focuses on simple things you can do to break these tension patterns yourself!  There are specific muscles that are easy to find and work yourself.  Once you break the tension patterns, your body does not want to keep them.  Learn very specific things to stop clenching and grinding, learn how to take the impact out of your teeth, gums, and jaw, learn how to work all the related muscles in your face, scull, neck and jaw so that you can finally fix this problem yourself

Body Logic sessions continue to grow in popularity. Sessions are booking quickly  for April 20 - 23, 2012.   

 

 

 

Body Logic the original work, created by Yamuna Zake, is the hands on modality from which Body Rolling was invented. It is a hands on experiential approach to creating balance in the body.


'Yamuna� Body Logic creates space between muscle and bone, allowing the body's perfect circuitry to fire in logical and correct order. This, in turn, allows the body as a whole to perform optimally.'

WHAT TO EXPECT

This is Yamuna's Master work, which all other works are derived from.

Yamuna� Body Logic is an exceptional activity that assesses any structural issue and actually heals it.

From a session of YBL�, a practitioner will know exactly what YBR� routines to recommend for self-healing. YBL� is a very detailed and highly organized hands-on therapy that is recommended for anyone wanting to begin YBR�. Through one session a practitioner works the entire body working every joint in every range of motion looking for restrictions and possible causes for the specific problem. The entire body is worked in most cases to see how the body has compensated and what all the parts are actually doing to contribute to the pain or problem pattern. The quality of bone, muscle, other soft tissue and alignment are focused on throughout the sessions.

Three sessions are usually recommended to fully assess and begin corrections so the client knows that healing and mending is possible. Once a client is stabilized the necessary YBR� routines are taught. The goal is always to make each client independent.
