What is Body Rolling?

Body Rolling produces profound change in the body from the very first session. Using various sizes of small balls to roll the body on, it is in combination a massage, a work out and chiropractic treatment. It is effective at improving alignment, relieving back pain and stress, preventing and healing injury, improving bone quality and creating a longer, leaner, freer body. This work builds core strength, increases flexibility, and improves range of motion.  It is a full body workout and a deep tissue massage all rolled into one!

Hello,

 

It's been a great start to this New Year and it's so exciting to see the positive changes in everyone! I hope you are experiencing it too. 

 

So many of our new Yamuna Body Rolling Teachers are now out and teaching in the community. As these practitioners come back to the weekly classes and various workshops here at the studio, I am truly impressed with the deep changes that continue in their bodies and the great success stories their new students are experiencing. 

 

For those who are new to our work, we have so much valuable information to share about healing and building strong bodies.  Areas that are troublesome, such as upper back and shoulder pain, difficulties with headache, TMJ and alignment issues are easily addressed with our focused work. 

 

What I see more and more is the strength of our Foot Work as it continues to heal and change people's lives.  The feedback from several of my private clients is that this is faster and more effective than the multitudes of other modalities they have tried over the last several years. They thought they were going to have to suffer with foot pain for the rest of their lives. Not so. 

 

If you haven't experienced it yourself, Yamuna Body Rolling, Face and Foot fitness work does offer a complete therapeutic system that educates, heals and builds strength from the feet through the entire body. 

 

Body Logic is now also being offered and we welcome new clients. 

 

Whether you are interested in making positive change or taking your body and health to a new level, all are welcome.

Your shoulder joint connects your arms and hands to your head, neck and torso. It is one of the most overused parts of the body. This means it is important to keep the shoulders aligned, tension free, with full range of motion. Learning how to care for your shoulders will prevent: movement limitation, round shoulders, frozen shoulders and other common shoulder injuries. 

 

This is one of the most misunderstood areas of the body as many carry such deep tension and have sustained long term injury. Get tools to open the bones, heal the shoulder joint to create ease and strength. A simple easy to understand approach for self-healing at whatever your level of mobility.

Yamuna Face Saver offers a proactive solution to the effects of repetitive stress and sustained tension by stimulating and aligning bone, activating muscle, increasing circulation and tone, and reversing the effects of gravity. Yamuna gives us a new, logical, effective way to approach facial care. Yamuna Face Saver is crucial to women and men at all ages - 20, 30, 40 and beyond.


As bone shrinks with age, skin sags around it. Also, as gravity takes hold, our heads and neck naturally begin to fall forward. This work lifts bone and muscle so that the skin can once again be supported. Finally, repetitive stresses-various expressions, squinting, jaw clenching, etc.-cause lines and wrinkles to a far greater extent than other offenders.

In a Yamuna 
Face Saver session, (whether performed with a certified practitioner or at home, by yourself) a small face ball and a larger neck ball are gently worked on your skin against gravity to actually lift your facial muscles back where they are supposed to be.

Foot pain is easily resolved with this leading edge bodywork. Taking care of your feet is the ultimate anti-aging supplement. Everyone has to take care of his/her feet. Come and learn quick, concise basics that can be used at any age to improve foot health.

 

Foot Basics begins with the walking test. This simple test allows you to self-assess your ability to walk using each part of the foot. Then, a class takes you into working the outside edge, the middle, and the inner edge of your foot. Once you have learned how to work all three lines in your feet, a second walking test helps you see how quickly you can correct your stance - and your posture. You literally stand taller when the muscles of your feet are actually supporting you.

The focus of this class is to understand the anatomy of your feet, legs and spine and how to create structural alignment from the ground up. We will work from the Feet up to the Spine creating space and ease.

 

Once one has experienced the work, it is easily taken home to work out the body for relaxation and to utilize as part of one's fitness/stretch routine. Join us for an morning workout that will balance the body and enhance performance and comfort in all of your other sports and fitness routines. 

 

Yamuna® Foot Wakers were developed to increase flexibility, bring back movement and separation of the bones of the foot, improve muscle tone, and increase circulation and to "get your shoes out of your feet."  They wake the feet up and get them moving the way they should.

Join us to find a deeper workout-find out more about why these new Deep Blue Advanced Practitioner balls were developed and how they can safely be used to release areas of extreme congestion and tightness, while more effectively taking more impact out of the bone than any other ball. The new practitioner balls are available now.  This new ball is smaller and much harder than the black ball. Take it to the next level and learn more about a deep release when combining this new work and equipment to your current practice.

This is called Foundations - Experiential Anatomy - The core of Yamuna Body Rolling and is a 3 day training (18 hours) that uses the Yamuna® balls to train you how to locate and work all the muscles of your legs, anterior torso, and posterior torso


We start you at the beginning feeling your own muscles from origin to insertion. Knowing how to find and feel your own muscles are crucial to problem solving and helping others to heal themselves.

Anyone who has had some experience with YBR®, wishes to go deeper into their own self-evaluation and possibly become a certified practitioner is welcome to enroll in Phase 1.

Body Logic sessions continue to grow in popularity...we are now booking for March 2012.  

 

 

 

Body Logic the original work, created by Yamuna Zake, is the hands on modality from which Body Rolling was invented. It is a hands on experiential approach to creating balance in the body.


'Yamuna® Body Logic creates space between muscle and bone, allowing the body's perfect circuitry to fire in logical and correct order. This, in turn, allows the body as a whole to perform optimally.'

WHAT TO EXPECT

This is Yamuna's Master work, which all other works are derived from.

Yamuna® Body Logic is an exceptional activity that assesses any structural issue and actually heals it.

From a session of YBL®, a practitioner will know exactly what YBR® routines to recommend for self-healing. YBL® is a very detailed and highly organized hands-on therapy that is recommended for anyone wanting to begin YBR®. Through one session a practitioner works the entire body working every joint in every range of motion looking for restrictions and possible causes for the specific problem. The entire body is worked in most cases to see how the body has compensated and what all the parts are actually doing to contribute to the pain or problem pattern. The quality of bone, muscle, other soft tissue and alignment are focused on throughout the sessions.

Three sessions are usually recommended to fully assess and begin corrections so the client knows that healing and mending is possible. Once a client is stabilized the necessary YBR® routines are taught. The goal is always to make each client independent.
