Oxford United Methodist Church to host Plant Sale/Chicken BBQ/Yard Sale.
Oxford United Methodist Church will be having a "Super Saturday" on May 5th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Come by for their second annual Plant Sale and delicious chicken BBQ. This year, the church is also offering FREE yard sale space in their parking lot.

The church is located at 18 Addison Street in Oxford - at the corner of Market & Addison Streets.

Oxford Lions Club

  

 

LOOK FOR LIONS ON STREET CORNERS AND LOCAL BUSINESSES ON SATURDAY MAY 19, 2012 ( RAIN DATE SATURDAY MAY 26, 2012)

 

Members of the Oxford Lions Club will take to the streets and businesses of Oxford, PA on May 19, 2012 to raise funds as part of the annual "White Cane Day".  Funds donated by community members will be used to benefit the community .


According to Chris Smeltzer, president of Oxford Lions Club, "Money raised on May 19, 2012 will allow Lions to meet pressing needs in our community including Chester County Assoc. For the Blind, Boy Scout Troop #44 , Oxford Public Library, Lighthouse Youth Center, Neighborhood Services, and many more...  Lions members thank everyone who contributes to this important work.  YOU are truly helping Lions make a difference in our community."


The Oxford Lions Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month at 6:30 PM at the Nottingham Inn. Lions clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs. We also have an active Leos Club at the Oxford

Fee: $30 for the set of classes.
Ages 5 and older.
The theme:  Exploration of 3-dimensional art and color.  Children will be designing and building a mobile of bird houses. 
This project ties in with a book-signing at our shop on May 19 by Oxford's very own Tina Skinner who wrote a children's book, "The Avian Architect". 
We're really excited about this.
