PCHTF Announces New Resource
Community Affordable Housing Policy Page is now available
One year ago the Board of Directors of the PCHTF forged a Strategic Plan with a big goal. That goal is to, "Position the Trust Fund to be the community authority on all matters related to permanent affordable housing." A strategy for that goal is to make certain the PCHTF Board, staff and committees are current on the most cutting edge discussions and practices for creating affordable housing inventory.
This month the PCHTF is proud to release its Community Affordable Housing Policy webpage. This continually changing community resource is made up of relevant information about our community, studies and papers commissioned by the Trust Fund and links to affordable housing resources in other cities. It is our hope that this page is the first step toward a community-wide Strategic Plan for Affordable Housing. The page can be accessed HERE.

Gary Lorenz has the Floor
Each month a PCHTF Board Member shares their commitment to Affordable Housing.
Some issues hit close to home - literally. My wife and I happened to be driving near my childhood neighborhood in Des Moines recently and decided to swing by the house where I was raised. Our house, near the corner of 26th and Hickman, was among the new, modest homes constructed in the 1950s. I hardly recognized it.
