Spring Fling
Spring Fling will be on the evening of May 3, 2012 and includes food, games, outdoor activities and a dance starting at 9 p.m. There will be archery, shooting, unicycling, big chess, cotton candy and popcorn.
Included is "The Bachelor / Bachelorette" Games where you can meet a date and "Know your partner." Couples are tested on their knowledge of each other. Graduation
Graduation will be on Sunday June 10, 2012 at the Student Center. Graduates from Natural Resources and the School of Health and Nursing will be at 10:30 a.m. All other programs will graduate at 2:30 p.m. For more information check the Hocking College Commencement Web Page. |
STARS Awards
STARS (Student Team and Academic Recognition System) will be held on May 30, 2012, at 7 p.m. in the Student Center Multiplex. We are now accepting nominations in following areas: Green Award This award will be given in recognition of outstanding efforts in the area of sustainable, renewable and environmental issues and the education thereof. "We Are One Hocking" AwardThis award will be presented in recognition of outstanding efforts in the area of cross-cultural education and or community unification. Most Outstanding Impact on Campus and CommunityThis award will be presented to recognize a project which made an outstanding impact on campus and or community during the previous quarter. |
Graduation Awards
One-Hocking Graduation AwardPresented to one graduating American and one graduating International student who through their actions and involvement has made a significant impact on cross-cultural understanding at Hocking College. Richard Elston AwardIn memory of Richard Elston, a former Hocking College Student Senate president. This award recognizes a graduating student whose outstanding leadership has positively impacted the Hocking College Community. Student Life AwardThis award is presented to any graduating student who has exemplified dedication and commitment to improving the quality of student life for all members of the Hocking College campus community. Please send nominations to Giles Lee. Please include the name of the person or group that you are nominating, a description of the project and when this took place. State the award that you would like to see received. Feel free to include photos video, thank you letters or other materials.

President's ListIf you have a GPA of 3.5 or more and greater than 30 hours of Hocking College Credit, you are encouraged to apply for President's List. Stop by JL 154 and pick up a packet. Applications are due by May 8 at 5 p.m.
