Unclaimed Bicycles to be Disposed
The Hocking College Police Department is taking action to address the extremely large number of unclaimed bicycles on our campus.

Any bicycle found to be unclaimed, damaged or abandoned at 11 a.m. on June 13, 2011 will become property of the Hocking College Police Department for disposal.

If you, or any of your students, have a bicycle here on campus, or you park the bike on any Campus property, the Hocking College Police Department urges you to visit their office to complete a short, simple registration form so your bike will not be mistaken as unclaimed, damaged or abandoned.

Please share this message with your students, and contact Chief Al Mathews at ext. 6590 with any questions.
Commencement Updates
Please submit any good photos from the 2010-11 academic year to Giles Lee for a PowerPoint presentation he is creating for the commencement ceremony.

Deans will read the graduates' names for the entire school, and faculty and staff are invited to sit in a special VIP enclosure on the Oakley-end of the Multiplex and greet grads as soon as they have walked off the stage.

Students Install New Plantings in Lounge

Thank you to Andy Freeman and his Landscape Management students for their efforts in installing live plants in the new lounge area outside of JL 195.  The planters help enhance the beauty of this area for students and prospective Hocking College students to enjoy.

Kudos for the Nelsonville Music Festival Assistance

With an additional 6,000 people on campus last weekend for the Nelsonville Music Festival, our own campus police, maintenance and grounds staff deserve kudos for their excellent work before, during and after the Festival.  The assistance of the Hocking College staff is essential to the success of such a huge undertaking.

Matt Easter, Mayor of Rio Grande, took the time to contact us to compliment the College's teamwork with the community and the Nelsonville Music Festival staff to pull off the event.  He was impressed by the security team and volunteers, and the cooperation of everyone working together toward a common cause.

Kudos and thank you to all those involved.
