 New Mini-Recycling Containers
Campus offices have now been supplied with new small blue recycling containers clipped to office wastebaskets. These are meant for daily collection of any recyclable materials. Hopefully, these new containers will make it easier to collect the material from the day. Any material that is eligible to be deposited in the large blue cans in the hallways can be put into the mini can. These materials include aluminum and/or steel cans, number one and two plastic, paper and cardboard.
As we adjust the collection logistics with our housekeeping staff, we are asking employees for their assistance. As a large blue recycling can should be reasonably close to every office area on campus, we are asking everyone to please deposit their own recycling into the larger cans at the end of the day.
If you did not receive a small blue can, or have any questions, contact Joe Wakeman, ext. 6098. |
Visitor Parking Permits Required
As part of the new parking changes effective winter 2011, all visitors to campus will be required to display on their rearview mirror a valid visitor's parking permit in order to park on the main campus. This permit allows the visitor to park in any visitor-only space, as well as any space designated with white lines. Visitor permits can be obtained from any department or the front desk in the Concourse. Departments may also contact Tammy Eing, ext. 7129, for a template of the permit to print and distribute as needed. These permits are valid for visitor use only. As defined in the Hocking College parking regulations, a visitor is any person other than a registered student or faculty/staff member of Hocking College. For more information, the parking regulations brochure may be downloaded at www.hocking.edu/parking. |
