Fishing Close to Home

As many of our guests know, the rewards of getting deep into the Boundary Waters or Quetico can be wonderful. Some of those rewards include the solitude and the quality of fishing. Many folks, however, don't or can't go deep into the wilderness because of time restraints, physical limitations or personal choice. Don't let that make you think the close in fishing won't be any good. As Dave will attest, with this giant 23" smallmouth bass caught on the Moose Lake Chain this past fall, there can be some great fishing right from the time you leave our dock. Be careful though! It can be said that when you're trying to get somewhere, fishing along the way will really slow you down...but catching, well, when you start catching, you might as well just set up camp!

Quetico Park

Permits are issued on a first come first served basis exactly 5 months to the day before your desired start day. This year the park will open May 20th, 2011.

Our Crew will be happy to help you obtain your permits at no extra cost to you.
