Principal's Message

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

Dear Parents,

We have started our new theme for this month: Generosity.  In a Hadeeth, Ar-Rasool sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam tells us that "Indeed Allah is The Generous One, and He loves the generous people."

When we think of the word generosity, often times we understand it to mean that a person gives his wealth in the way of Allah.  A person can also be generous in giving other things he may have for the sake of Allah; for example, giving one's time, efforts and talents, in the way of Allah.

In another Hadeeth, Ar-Rasool sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam mentioned many different forms of generosity, and said, " The most beloved of people according to Allah is he who brings most benefit to people, and the most beloved of deeds according to Allah the Mighty, the Magnificent, is that you bring happiness to a fellow Muslim, or relieve him of distress, or pay off his debt or stave away hunger from him. It is more beloved to me that I walk with my brother Muslim in his time of need than I stay in I'tikaaf in the Masjid for one month."

During this month, discuss with your child how he or she can be generous - not only with their money and belongings, but also in giving other things they may have.  Consider doing family activities that involve generosity.  For example, take your child to a soup kitchen, or to feed the poor and needy.  Take your child to your local Masjid, or to his/her school, and volunteer their time for the sake of Allah.

1. Uniform

Please refer to the school handbook to make sure your child is in the proper uniform. This includes Jackets, sweaters, hejabs etc.  It part of our dress code to require students to be in uniform.  If  you do not have any uniform item, then you can in shaa Allah find them at Sooq Al-Huda.
