Re:  CoSIDA Board of Directors and divisional leadership updates and initiatives    

As we enter the month of October, the CoSIDA Board of Directors and our divisional leadership groups want to remind each of you of the upcoming nomination and voting deadlines for the Capital One Academic All-America® program. The first round of nominations opens on Tuesday, Oct. 2 for men's and women's soccer (in all divisions). See the 2012-13 Capital One AAA master schedule HERE (PDF). 

Please make sure to carefully review all the deadlines so that there are no missed opportunities for nominating or voting for your deserving student-athletes. Each year we have a few instances where a communications/information director does not take the time to nominate a deserving student-athlete at their school or does not meet a deadline, and the student-athlete must be kept off the Academic All-District ballot because of this. This can create an unfortunate situation for student-athletes, SIDs, coaches, administrators and parents, so please take the time to review all the dates and time deadlines in the master calendar. Members are sent nomination/voting deadline reminders throughout the year via email, Twitter, CoSIDA.com and the annual report (coming your way in October), so there are plenty of opportunities to check these dates. 

· The 2012-13 membership e-directory is now available in an online format and the new PDF version will be available later in October. Thanks to all those who updated their personal and organizational information. Those who have moved into a new position, see an error in their online directory or have had staff changes recently can update their personal and/or organizational CoSIDA E-Directory information. For those who renewed your membership for the 2012-13 academic year by the Sept. 14th deadline, we thank you so much. For those who have yet to renew or pay for a membership your dues can be paid but with a late fee assessment of $30.00. There are some exceptions to paying the late fee - read more HERE. Remember, you MUST be a current CoSIDA member to nominate for - and vote on - Capital One Academic All-America®/All-District Team honors.
