Re: CoSIDA Board of Directors and divisional leadership updates and initiatives
We hope that you will take a few moments to review this newsletter outlining CoSIDA organizational and administrative activities during July. In particular, we would like to draw your attention to a list of strategic initiatives that the CoSIDA Board has targeted for the upcoming academic year which you can review HERE.

CoSIDA Membership for 2012-13 and Directory Updates
· We are moving full speed ahead with numerous projects for the upcoming academic year and need your cooperation in updating your organization's directory information. Accuracy of the 2012-13 E-Directory can only be achieved with your input! We respectfully request your assistance by FRIDAY, SEPT. 14.
· Those who have moved into a new position, see an error in their online directory or if you have had staff changes recently are reminded to update their personal and/or organizational CoSIDA E-Directory information. See further information HERE.
· Not a member and want to join CoSIDA, or do you wish to renew a membership(s) for 2012-13? CoSIDA membership for 2012-13 is open through FRIDAY, SEPT. 14. After that date, a $30.00 late fee will be applied for membership purposes (there are some exceptions, however). See our "CoSIDA Membership Benefits/Purchase a Membership" webpage for more information HERE. Remember that only current 2012-13 members are eligible to nominate - and vote for - Capital One Academic All-America honors. Regular dues are $115.00 (active), $125.00 (associate) and $35.00 (students/interns/graduate assistants).

2012-13 CoSIDA Leadership Joe Hornstein (Florida International University) will serve as President for the upcoming year with Shelly Poe (Auburn) as 1st Vice President, Eric McDowell (Union- N.Y.) 2nd VP and Judy Willson (Mountain West Conference) as 3rd VP. Secretary/E-Digest Editor Jeff Hodges (North Alabama) is the remaining officer on the Board. Past Presidents who will serve as officers on the 2012-13 Board are Tom Di Camillo (Pacific West Conference/Central Arizona College), Larry Dougherty (Temple) and Justin Doherty (Wisconsin). Continuing Education Sessions
· CoSIDA's continuing education sessions for 2012-13 will kick off next month and that schedule will be announced in the upcoming weeks. CoSIDA would like to thank NewTek (videos), ASAP Sports (full Fastscript transcripts) and TRZ Sports/TEAMLINE (internet audio and conference call phone lines) for their continued support of our continuing education program. Executive Director John Humenik and Director of External Affairs Barb Kowal continue to work with NewTek, CoSIDA's official continuing education video production provider, to finalize for presentation several taped sessions from the St. Louis Convention. These convention sessions will be provided to our membership from late August- December as the prominent piece of our fall/early winter continuing education initiatives. See more information HERE. |
Strategic Branding Review Underway · In May, the CoSIDA's Board of Directors entered into a partnership agreement with Cryder-Rinebold of Indianapolis to conduct a branding-based review of CoSIDA during the course of the next 12-15 months. Capital One Academic All-America® Program 
· The 2012-13 Capital One Academic All-District and Academic All-America teams will again be in a four-division format (NCAA Division I, II, III and College Division). · Looking ahead, we remind everyone that you must be a CURRENT 2012-13 member of CoSIDA to nominate your deserving student-athletes and vote in the program for 2012-13.

Sponsorship Matters
· HERE you will see information on CoSIDA corporate partners and supporters and the fundraising results for the 2012 Convention and 2012-13 academic year. Sponsorship monies total more than $600,000 raised for the next fiscal year (cash and trade-out services).

Master Schedule/Calendar of Events through October
· Check HERE for the master calendar through October. This schedule will be updated throughout the next few months when new information, contest deadlines, etc. will be added.
