We are expecting upwards of 100 marchers for this year's Detroit Federation of Musicians Labor Day Parade Unit.
Muscians from the Detroit Symphony, Michigan Opera Theatre Orchestra, Jazz & Freelance groups, Fisher Theater Orchestra among others will be joined by musicians, friends, family and union dignitaries from across America.
If you would like to participate but are unable to join us there is a way:
We are staging a virtual march on Orchestra Hall. DSO musicians are being targeted with huge destructive cuts in wages, benefits and working conditions. By registering on the link below you can send a letter to the Board of Directors of the Detroit Symphony. The letters will be printed and hand delivered on the day of the march, September 6, 2010. You will be sent a link to view a video of the festivities.
