Planning Commission Vacancy


Are you interested in what is happening in your city and want to contribute your time and talents? 

The Planning Commission is a board of Spring Park residents who serve  in an advisory capacity to the Mayor and the City Council.  They hold public hearings, review and make recommendations on Comprehensive Plan Amendments, Rezoning, Subdivisions, Conditional Use Permits, Variances, Sign Permits and other areas of interest to the city.  

Planning Commissioners are appointed and serve four-year terms.  Citizens who are  interested in serving on the Planning Commission should contact City Hall. Applications will be accepted through Aug 19. The Planning Commission meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

 

City Council Vacancy

 

The Spring Park City Council is also as seeking applicants for the Council vacancy due to the recent resignation of Tom Scanlon.

 

The deadline for the Council position is also Aug 19. Interviews will be held the week following and an appointment will be made at the first meeting in September. The appointed individual will serve until a special election is held in November, 2012 to fill the remaining two years of the term.
