If you are feeling pushed rather than pulled to your goals, it might mean that they are not your most important goals. Or it might mean they are not your goals at all - they are somebody else's goals.
Reassess your goals to find those that are most important TO YOU.
- Find work that attracts you like a magnet, not work that you have to push yourself through - or that someone else has to push you through.
- Find things you like to do. Don't force yourself to do things that have no value to you.
- Find people who attract you. Don't push yourself to stay in non-rewarding relationships.
When you switch from pushing yourself through unexciting chores to going after self-chosen goals that truly excite you, you will see what a positive difference it makes in your feelings of fulfillment and happiness.
HERE'S HOW TO GET STARTED
Write down the major things you actually do during the first week in June.
1. Write down the major things you want to do in your life.
2. See if anything you actually did matches what want to do. Do any of the major things you actually did during the first week of June have any relationship to the major things you want to do in your life?
3. Make sure what you DO matches what you WANT to do. For the remainder of the month of June, plan to do at least one major daily activity to further at least one major thing you want to do in your life.
By the end of the month you should feel less pushed toward your less important goals and more pulled toward your most important goals. You will begin to love living your life - and, instead of ending each day in frustration, you will experience the satisfaction and fulfillment that comes from pursuing goals that are truly important to you.
