Wallis statement | Some Americans always have and always will eat horse meat.
This is just another illogical statement to try to justify horse slaughter. Substitute other activities for horse meat and you'll see just how little water this statement holds.
Some Americans always have and always will use drugs so drugs should be made legal.
Some Americans always have and always will commit murder so murder should be made legal.
Some Americans always have and always will abuse animals so animal abuse should be made legal.
Some Americans always have and always will steal so theft should be made legal.
The list goes on and on but laws aren't passed based on some people. Laws are passed to protect the majority and carry consequences when broken. When you have less than two percent of the horse population going to slaughter, passing a law to allow the minority to continue being irresponsible and not held accountable for their actions, goes against everything that grounds this country. It lacks common sense - a trait that cannot be taught.
