Greetings!
Well, March is here at last... It's Spring Fever time... Come relax when the sun goes down to a couple of great shows at Stage Cafe: Friday evening the Taters return for a much anticipated show. The Taters play an eclectic mix of roots rock, pop, country, skiffle & Americana, a sound that's been compared favorably to a mixture of Everlys, Orbison, Beatles, and Nick Lowe. More information at: www.thetaters.com
Saturday, We host the Thomas Gunn CD release party and show. Mike Clem opens the show and I hear there are other surprises in store. Thom is well known to the local music scenre for the many groups in which he plays and for his solo shows. London-born Thomas Gunn was reared in Europe and a graduate of the inter-nationally renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, with a degree in film scoring. Gunn's composition "Mothers in Motels" was nominated for a prestigious Hatch Award in 1994. Check out www.thomasgunnmusic.com.
I want to thank our code wizard Anne for finally solving a pesky problem with our "cvillecoffee.com" page! All info and links are now correct.
Our Acoustic Open Mic is growing in popularity even though there are several such evenings in the area; ours is Sundays at 7:00 to 9:00 PM (sign-up at 6:30). There's no cover so come on down any Sun-day evening and hear great young players in all sorts of non-amplified genres.
Find out how I define musical excellence; check out this weekend's shows; and see the Future Calendar to the left, for the March line-up. Come join us for a performance at Stage Cafe: The Listener's Venue.
