THIS WEEK AT LA CASITA!
This weekend marks the official beginning of Fall, and we have a great line up of events, workshops, and trunk shows to usher it in properly. This upcoming week will really set the tone, with a Vogue Knitting trunk show on Thursday September 29, John Brinegar's "Seams Like Surgery" seaming workshop on Saturday October 1, and The Third Annual NYC Yarn Crawl from Friday September 30 through Sunday October 2.

Vogue Knitting Trunk Show
Thursday September 29 (7:00-9:00 pm)
We are excited to welcome the folks at Vogue Knitting Magazine back to New York after the Los Angeles edition of VK Live. Trisha Malcolm, Editor In Chief, will be at the shop Thursday night to talk about the Fall 2011 issue, and she'll be bringing all of the lovely garments featured in the magazine with her! Join us for wine, cheese, chocolate, and a behind the scenes look at the latest issue. $30.00 includes refreshments and admittance to this private event. RSVP now to reserve your place.

John Brinegar's "Seams Like Surgery" Workshop
Saturday October 1 (6:00-9:00 pm)
Didn't make it out to LA for VK Live this weekend? Don't worry, you can still take instructor John Brinegar's "Seams Like Surgery" workshop right here at La Casita! In this three hour workshop, John will explore seaming techniques based on surgical sutures. This unique method of seaming results in decorative exposed lines and promises to reduce some of the stress of piecing your garments together.
Don't miss the opportunity to learn from this cutting edge designer, who's extensive portfolio includes designs for Tahki Stacy Charles, Vogue Knitting, Knit.1, Knitty, Knit Simple, and many others. Third Annual NYC Yarn Crawl
