The founders of
Mason Dixon Knitting have been offering stories, patterns, advice, opinions, questions, answers, jokes, and pictures with a give 'em hell spirit for a number of years now. They are also known for popularizing log cabin knitting, a wonderfully simple, flexible, and modern take on classic quilting techniques.
Kay Gardiner's
Mitered Crosses Blanket has been literally sweeping the planet, with 2,700 copies of the pattern already sold on Ravelry, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Mercy Corps' Japan's earthquake/tsunami relief efforts. In this workshop, Kay will preach the techniques of log cabin and mitering while walking you through her enormously popular Mitered Crosses Blanket pattern. The $50.00 fee includes a copy of pattern as well as a copy of the first Mason Dixon Knitting book. In addition to the proceeds of the pattern, La Casita will also be donating a portion of the workshop fee to the Mercy Corps.
