"Sally" Fingerless Glove Workshop Sunday February 27th and Sunday March 6th 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Fingerless gloves are among the most popular things to knit, and for good reason. They are quick, portable, versatile, practical, and come in so many variations! One of the cutest versions that we've seen is the "Sally Glove" by designer Nancy Ricci. Lucky for us, she has agreed to do a two-part workshop (taking place Sundays Feb 27th and Mar 6th from 6:00-8:00 pm) showing us how to make them!
Extremely beginner friendly, the Sally Glove is first knit flat and then seamed up the side, making it a wonderful project to practice the basic stitches, learn some new variations, and get a wonderful introduction to seaming.
In this two-part workshop you will learn how to: - knit and purl into the front and back of a stitch - pick up stitches - seam with the mattress stitch technique aka invisible stitch - block your work - Elizabeth Zimmerman bind off
The price of the workshop is $50.00 plus materials. (You may use your own or purchase them at a 10% discount at the shop.)
You will need: - the Sally Glove pattern ($6.00) - any worsted weight yarn, at least 100 yards (dk and aran weight yarn also works) - needle size US#7 - 2 buttons - a darning needle
Class size is limited to 6 students to please call us to reserve your place in what promises to be a fun and productive workshop!
