Get ready for Leaderamas - an all day training and enrichment event for all Leaders!

Kick off the new Girl Scout year by attending a local Leaderama. Basic courses will be available for leaders who have not yet attended a Journey training course, or are looking for further guidance on how to run the basic National Core Program (Journeys and Girl Guide to Girl Scouting) with their girls.

Leaders will also be able to choose from a selection of enrichment courses that will teach and inspire skills in everything from outdoor skills to crafts, songs and other Girl Scout traditions.

Leaderamas are being planned in all three regions - check the Event Calendar after October 1 for additional details. If you are interested in hosting a local Leaderama, want to receive the NCP Training Module, or have questions please email volunteer@girlscoutsccc.org.

NEW COURSES BEING PILOTED SOON! Are you a leader who is unsure about how to get your girls to be more involved in the planning and implementing of the activities and events your troop participates in and attends?

Do the phrases "Girl led," "Learn by doing," and "Cooperative learning" leave you in a state of panic or confusion? Then this brand new course is just the thing for you!

"How to Work With Girl Scouts - The Three Processes" is a course that is being developed in conjunction with the National Science Foundation and other partnering Girl Scout councils. This course will help leaders who are unsure of or are uncomfortable with having the girls in their troop be more in control of what they do and how they do it. More details to follow.

If you have a need for additional trainings or information please contact volunteer@girlscoutsccc.org.

JUMP INTO JOURNEYS!!! Jump into Journeys is a new troop/leader patch program. The Activity Guide is designed to give you, as an adult volunteer, a taste of specific grade-level Journeys activities.

Journeys are the core of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) and provide girls with a national experience - something they have in common with Girl Scouts everywhere.

By doing the activities in this Guide and earning the Jump into Journeys patch with your troop/group, leaders and girls will have the information and tools needed to decide which Journey to dive into first.

The Jump into Journeys Activity Guide will be available online after September 15.
