EARLY BIRD eBIZ SEASON BEGINS Troops have until June 22, 2012 to re-register ONLINE through eBiz to qualify for the Early Bird patch.
- Council goal is no more paper forms. Everything can be done online.

We are in the process of increasing troop debit card limit with Wells Fargo and Rabobank in order to simplify eBiz membership re-registration online. We are working with Santa Barbara Bank & Trust to initiate the issuance of debit cards to troop account holders. WE WILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN THIS IS AVAILABLE. |

May is Rain Garden Month! Rain gardens increase green space and wildlife habitats and improve water quality by reducing the amount of water-borne pollutants that run into streams, rivers, and other water supplies. You can make a difference! Make your own personal rain garden (instructions in the FG Activity Guide online), help implement a Rain Garden in your local community or sign-up at programs@girlscoutsccc.org to be a part of the Rain Garden installation at Camp Arnaz! Details found in Forever Green Activity Guide on our website. Register your activities at http://www.girlscouts.org/gsforevergreen/ to be a part of this program and mail in your order form to earn your free patch. DEADLINE to complete three (3) activities, register and turn in order form is May 31, 2012.

GET MOVIN'...SUMMER IS COMING Check out the Summer programs that engage our girls and get them moving through their journey of badge workshops, outdoor/STEM activities, and new adventures. BE PREPARED: Program level "Bridging Kit" order forms are now available in both Castroville and Ventura shops to help leaders and parents prepare for year-end bridging ceremonies.
REMINDER: The old Girl Scout program badges, troop crests and program level pins are being retired on June 30 and no longer for sale -- please plan accordingly, if you want to purchase for your troop, or as collectibles. These items are limited to stock on hand.

COOKIE RECOGNITIONS ARRIVING SOON! Thank you for a successful 2012 Cookie Sale! All recognitions from Little Brownie will be shipped the week of May 7, to the SU Product Sales Chair. Movie cards and cookie credits will be shipped the week of April 30, to the SU Product Sales Chair. Electronic items will be shipped directly to the girls via UPS the week of April 30.

IMPORTANT INSURANCE INFO Additional Insurance - Plan 2: What? Who? When? Where?
What: Plan 2 insurance is required when having a Girl Scout activity where non-registered members will be attending. The cost is $0.11 per person, per day. You should also purchase additional insurance for trips lasting more than three days and for national or international trips for all participants even if they are registered Girl Scouts; the price of this insurance varies by trip and length.
