Montessori. Just thinking about it makes me smile. I get an extreme rush of happiness every morning when I enter the cul-de-sac where the wonderful buildings stand. It has changed over the years, but it is still pure, wonderful, enjoyable Montessori. The mechanisms of teaching here are different from other schools, but they are better, more understandable.

I would never have been introduced to such a great place if it weren't for my parents. I am so thankful for them, I can't begin to explain.

You don't realize the beauty of Montessori until you have lived it, and once you have lived it, it's hard going anywhere else. Montessori is somewhat like the world, each classroom like a continent, each student like a villager. They all act, dress, and communicate differently depending on which classroom "continent" they are in. The classrooms in Montessori are always inviting, rain or shine, summer or winter, 24/7. Everyone is always treated fairly, age does not matter.

The six years I have been at Montessori have been the best years of my life. Going back and observing the other classrooms unlocked memories of when I was that age, doing the same lessons, learning the same things. When the kids come up to you while you are observing it's hard to tell them to go and work, because you just want to talk to them, understand how they feel, and how they react to an older student in their classroom. It was quite enjoyable watching the younger kids interact with each other, deal with problems, and use tables and chairs that once seemed normal sized and are now tiny to me. So I know I have grown.

Watching the smaller kids made me realize even more how special Montessori really is, which makes me very sad to go to another school. Montessori is like my home away from home, the teachers like parents, the other students like brothers and sisters, and we're all treated equally. I have had a lot of adventures in the six years I have been here. I know that wherever I go, and whatever school I go to, more adventures are sure to come.
