Touch a Truck Fundraiser
Dear Community,

As you know, one of our dear elementary students, James Vokoun, is ill with HLH, a rare immune disorder. It is quite possible that James, like 4 other children in Jacksonville, will need a bone marrow transplant. A group of parents are organizing a marrow registry and Touch a Truck fundraiser for the National Bone Marrow Donor Program, Marrow.org, in James' honor on Saturday, May 19th from 1-5pm at Jacksonville Commons. Touch a Truck is an opportunity for kids of all ages to get up close to some really cool trucks, boats, tractors, and more.  We will also be having a Lego Challenge, (a contest for the most creative Lego creation for each age group), games and contests, food, and more. Please save the date and plan to come! If you have a cool truck (or connections to one) that you are willing to bring to the event please contact me. We are also looking for sponsors for the event, raffle donations, and volunteers.   If you are interested in getting involved with planning we'd love to have you join us at our next meeting on Friday, March 23, 9am at Brewed Awakenings.

Thank you,
Jill Maher
