A Letter from the Head of School
Dear Montessori Parents,
Auction weekend is here! Many thanks to the committees who have worked so hard to make this year's auction a success. We look forward to seeing you and your friends at the event tomorrow night.
We have an Elementary student, James Vokoun, who is battling an aggressive disease. He is in the hospital in Chapel Hill. His brother Thomas is in Primary West. This is a very difficult time for the Vokoun family and we wish them all the best. James is a very special young man and if anyone can win this battle it is James. Whether you have had the pleasure of knowing the Vokouns or not, I know you would like to join me in supporting them with our thoughts and prayers.
Some of the Classroom Directresses have asked me to remind you of the importance of a healthy lunch that includes fruit, vegetables and sufficient protein. I know that it is difficult to pack lunches day after day. We deeply appreciate your attention to this important task.
Remember the date, March 16, for our Open House Wine and Cheese. This is an evening where you can visit your child's classroom and talk with the Classroom Directresses and Directors. We count on you to help introduce the school to new families who will also be invited. It is a fun evening and one that is very important to the future of the school.
See you at the auction,
Peggy Higgins
