Dear Montessori Parents,

What a busy group our parents have been this week! The auction committee is organized and energetic. Margaret Melton, Susan Edwards and Christie Skerski are working beyond any expectation to guide the committee to a successful event. The families are outdoing themselves with creative, beautiful baskets. The "March Madness at Montessori" project is going to be a great success.

The PTO had a meeting and formulated plans for the remainder of the year, as well as, the 2012-2013 school term. Nelda Cales has done an outstanding job of keeping the PTO viable.  Gregory and Cecilia Larry have stepped up to leadership positions to serve as co-presidents of the PTO. The PTO serves a vital role in the health of the school. The next meeting is March 13 at 6:30PM in the Elementary building. Please plan to attend.

We will have a workday on March 10 from 9:00am until noon. Paul Archie recruited a group of Marines to volunteer. These Marines and parents combine their energy to help maintain our outdoor environment.

On March 16 from 5pm until 7pm the PTO and Board of Directors will host a Wine and Cheese Open House. This is an evening for our parents and parents with a child on the waiting list to visit classrooms and talk to our Directresses and Directors. It is always great fun and particularly helpful to new families entering the school. It is also a good time to have a look at the classroom where your child will be placed in the fall.

Thank you for your continuing support of your child and the school. Your volunteer efforts at Montessori Children's School help make the school the precious jewel that it is today.
