 A Letter from the Head of School Dear Montessori Parents, I thought I would present this week some basic information about the Board of Directors and updates for both new and returning families. First of all, Montessori Children's School is a non-profit school governed by a Board of Directors. Our Board members consist of current parents, current Montessori teachers and one of our school founders. The Board meets on the third Tuesday of each month and has responsibility for the school's strategic direction and the school's financial health and stability. On September 27th at 6:00 PM we will hold the Annual Meeting and will elect new members to the Board. The regular monthly meeting will follow the Annual Meeting and the Board members will elect their officers. The Board works very hard to maintain its strategic focus and not overstep its boundaries by becoming involved in operational issues. Therefore, if you ever have any concerns or issues about the school, please come address them with me first. If we cannot resolve them, then the Board will schedule a time for you to address them with the Board. Let me end by thanking the parents who participated in the PTO and Board of Directors information night.
