"It's never easy. Whether it's your first child or your fourth, leaving your child to return to work is difficult. I speak from experience. I just returned to work this past August, leaving my six-week-old with a nanny I'd only met a handful of times.
- And just as it had with my first child, my heart broke and my mind wandered constantly to my baby those first few days and weeks. There are a few things that I've learned though, from my own experience and from my new gaggle of mommy friends, that helped ease the mother-baby separation anxiety.

A Letter from the Head of School

Dear Parents,

Maria Montessori said, "If help and salvation are to come, they can only come from the children for the children are the makers of men."

May I wish you a safe and happy holiday filled with peace, love and joy. I thank you for the help and support you give to me, the school and your children.

Sincerely,

Peggy Higgins

Mardi Gras Masquerade
The 4th Annual Montessori Children's School Auction Fundraiser is just 3 months away!  Last year, we brought in over $50,000 to use towards our beautiful new Elementary School building and the outdoor learning environment surrounding the Children's House.  This year we hope to top $60K!  There is still a LOT of work to be done and we need everyone's help because many hands make light work!  It is a fabulous way to get to know the other Montessori Families, plus your time spent counts towards your Volunteer Hours!
