Rock County Job Fair - April 18 - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rock County Job Center located at 1900 Center Ave. in Janesville. Employers from all industries and sectors are encouraged to participate. All registrations must be received by April 13th. For all the details and to register, please call: 608-314-3300, ext. 304, or visit: www.swwbd.org/jobfairrock.htm.
This is an event on campus in which students may come and learn about what kinds of businesses, restaurants, entertainment, etc. that the surrounding area has to offer them. Many students are from out of state and have little experience in Wisconsin on what they can do in their free time. So not only do the students learn about what is out there in their community, but it is also an opportunity for businesses to further market themselves to the college aged costumer. It is a win-win situation. The event is being held in the Hamilton room. There will be a plethora of tables set up and each will act like a station where your business can set up to display themselves. Home based businesses are more than welcomed. Setup will begin at noon. The closest parking lot is about 100 feet away. It is very, very close to the building. They will make sure that you have the proper parking passes upon arrival when you come and pay for the station (the day of). The UC Hamilton Room is located in the University Center, which is in the heart of our campus.
The registration fee is only $25 and what a great opportunity to get exposure for your business at the University while at the same time help educate the students on potential career opportunities. Please call Samantha McFarland at 414-460-3568 to reserve a table or with questions.
