As all clergy are expected to attend Clergy Day in Denville tomorrow, Tuesday, September 27, we ask that clergy who are unable to attend please send an email to Kay Lark as soon as possible so that she knows for how many attendees to prepare.

Teacher Resource Day Rescheduled For October 1 

Beyond the Curriculum! Resources for Sunday School teachers, youth leaders or anyone interested in formative activities. Saturday, October 1 (previously September 10), from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at St. Luke's Church in Montclair. Find out more.

"Getting To Know God" Series - October 2 Cancelled 

The first session of the Getting to Know God series, scheduled for October 2 by the Patterns of Spiritual Practice Group, has been cancelled. Thanks to those who expressed interest but are unable to attend because of conflicts. The next session on December 4 is still being planned. For more information please contact the Rev. Diana Clark.

Medicare Mysteries Revealed October 1 & 8

Senior Ministries of the Diocese of Newark is presenting an educational workshop on Medicare on the first two Saturdays of October, from 9 a.m. to noon. The October 1 workshop will be at Church of the Saviour in Denville; the October 8 workshop will be at Episcopal House. To find out more, download the flyer.

Fall Budget Review

The Fall Budget Review will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 7:30 p.m., at St. Agnes', Little Falls.

Vestry University

A day for all wardens, vestry members, treasurers, clergy and other congregational leaders to learn, network and celebrate your ministry. Saturday, October 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Elizabeth's Church in Ridgewood. (Did you attend last year? Christophany #12

A weekend event planned by youth for youth, Christophany is a great way for those in grades 6, 7 and 8 to have fun, play games, make new friends, and explore their spirituality. This year it will be held October 21-23 at St. Paul's, Chatham; the registration deadline is October 7. Find out more.

Sabbath - Making Time for Yourself AND God

The Christian Formation Commission of the Diocese of Newark invites you to learn to let go of everyday concerns and just be with God. Saturday, November 5, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Church of the Saviour in Denville. Find out more.

Children's Sabbath Liturgical Resources

Children's Sabbath is the weekend of October 21-23 with the theme Justice, Justice Shall You Pursue: Answering God's Call to Protect Children. The Children's Defense Fund is no longer printing the manuals, but they are available to review and/or print yourself online. (where you can print only what you need).

Important Information -- Hurricane Irene

As reports continue to trickle in about damage to church property from Hurricane Irene -- the Diocesan Property Manager, Jim Caputo, is aware of at least 18 congregations dealing with insurance claims -- we want to make sure you're aware there are resources available from Episcopal House to assist you in this process. Find out more.

Two new listservs have been created to enable parish administrators and treasurers to share information and ideas amongst themselves, and to facilitate communications with diocesan offices.
