Job Opening: Diocesan Stewardship Officer
Friday, March 18, 2011 |
As a concrete response to the challenge to keep our vision on the abundance of God's promise, at the recommendation of the Fund Development Committee and with the support of Diocesan Council, the Diocese of Newark is seeking to hire a Stewardship Officer.
The diocesan Stewardship Officer will work with parishes around the issues of stewardship formation and planned giving, and will assist the diocese in other fund development opportunities.
This position will be funded outside the budget - for the first year using funds from the New Ministry Initiatives Fund (created with a portion of the sale proceeds of three properties) and some of the income from the Bishop's Supplementary Funds. The expectation is that in future years, after a funding stream is established, it will pay for itself, as is standard for all development positions.
