His most recent book, Cure, is another heart-pounding story of medical intrigue. For more information about Dr. Cook, go to his official site.

Don't miss Dr. Cook at the Festival's Finale Expo Book Fair on April 28-29, 2012 - he will share fascinating stories about his writing career, followed by a Q&A and book signing! To see our full line-up of best-selling Authors to appear at the Book Fair, Click Here.

We are looking for a large auditorium for April 27th or 28th, 2012 to host a second event with Robin Cook.  If your organization has a facility that seats 500-1,000 people, please contact Laura Angle.

High-Powered ENGINEERING.COM Returns as Festival Sponsor!

As the premier online resource for engineers worldwide, ENGINEERING.COM has its fingers directly on the pulse of the fascinating, ever-evolving realm of engineering innovation.

That's why we are extremely delighted that this company has returned as a key sponsor for next year's USA Science & Engineering Festival, bringing with it a treasure trove of excitement and insight into the world of technology - from sponsoring the Festival's first-ever Grand Challenges Contest to introducing students to engineering concepts, innovations and role models featured on the high-powered ENGINEERING.COM website

"These are exciting times in engineering," says John Hayes, President of ENGINEERING.COM. "Today's evolving technology  is helping engineers design and build innovations in one step, thereby empowering engineers and scientists to unleash creativity like no time before."  His enterprise, he adds, "looks forward  to returning to the Festival to share and celebrate the spirit of innovation, and the importance of STEM, with young learners and other visitors."

Solar EnergyENGINEERING.COM will be turning up the heat and excitement of the 2012 event by hosting the Festival's Grand Challenges Contest. This contest asks students to present their solution to one of three of society's most pressing engineering problems: harnessing solar power; providing access to clean water, and restoring urban infrastructure. "Although these problems are daunting, they are not impossible; they can be solved through creativity and collaboration," says John. "So we want students to begin thinking about how they would address them."  For more details on the contest, including cash prizes and how to enter, click here

Festival PhotoDuring last year's Festival, ENGINEERING.COM, with Dassault Systemes, sponsored The Great Science Teacher Video Contest. John and his team will once again serve as the event's official videographer next year, conducting engaging on-camera interviews with well-known and influential scientists, engineers and serial entrepreneurs supporting the Festival. The interviews help not only to document the Festival, but also serve as important learning and motivational resources for our young, budding innovators.

Based in Toronto, Canada, ENGINEERING.COM has rapidly emerged as a leading online resource and enterprise, building a worldwide audience of engineers by using advanced Internet technology. It is the premier online resource for engineers and engineering students of all disciplines, offering a wide range of services and information, including videos, free tools and news on the latest innovations in engineering.

In addition, says John, "Advertisers are discovering that our sponsored, interactive digital video series - like the

Product Design Show, Some Assembly Required, and The Learning Series - on our website represent a powerful way for them to connect with engineers."
