Dear Director/Administrator:
The American Health Foundation will celebrate its 13th Annual "Senior Achievement" Awards Luncheon on Friday, November 11, 2011 (11.11.11.) at Benevenuto's Restaurant, in Boynton Beach, Florida. The event honors five outstanding volunteers/staff whose service to the community inspires, enriches and contributes to the "good" of many. All of our past honorees represent a wide spectrum of volunteer and staff effects including mentoring the children, wildlife and environment, health and medical care and everything in between.
Nominations are open to any and all 501 (c)-3 non-profit organizations approved by the I.R.S. and we encourage your participation. We will be recognizing the men and women of your organization who display exceptional leadership, inspire others to succeed beyond what is thought possible, and who show outstanding commitment to community service. The nominees should include staff and volunteers.
We will honor those whose leadership, inspiration, commitment and visionary direction in an organization who deserve recognition in the following areas of service:
* Outstanding commitment to community service * Meaningful leadership to others in your organization * An inspiration to and for others * Professional excellence and vision in achieving your objectives * Strategic administrative duties and abilities
If you know a man or women who fits the above criteria, please take a moment and complete the enclosed application and nominate him or her. You organization will be recognized at the award ceremony along with your nominee. Nominations close on or before Monday, October 3, 2011. Recipients whom the judges deem appropriate for this honor will be recognized at the 2011 Senior Achievement Award Luncheon and will be guest of the American Health Foundation. They will be expected to attend.
Vast publicity will be present which will give huge exposure to your organization and recipient.
This luncheon is also known as the "Teddy Bear" luncheon since it kicks off the campaign to aid our American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan as part of our Santa Clause Campaign.
I appreciate your participation and look forward to your nominations. A flyer is enclosed.
Best regards,
J. Robert Gordon, Ed.D. Chairman, 2011 Senior Achievement Project The American Health Foundation
