vines in spring

Greetings!

Vermont's fifth season has arrived: Mud Season.  Tall rubber boots are lined up by the door (next to the hose..) and all the signs of spring are upon us.  The grapevines are waking up and buds are starting to swell in anticipation of bud break.  Stop by and sample our two latest releases, 2010 Whimsey Meadow Rosé and 2009 Quintet, a late harvest dessert wine made from a harmonious blend of 5 grape varieties.

This month, we have been busy in the vineyard with pruning and tying up the vines (securing the canes to their supports).  Take a peek at our blog to see some pictures of that process.

In the winery, we've been bottling up a storm.  Check out the video below of a small, hand bottling of our special 2010 Late Harvest Dessert Wine "Quartet".

New Releases:

2010 Whimsey Meadow Rosé

This bright crimson red rosé has an enticing aroma of cotton candy and plump ripe berries. This juicy and succulent sipping wine balances powerful fruit with crisp acidity.

2009 Quintet Late Harvest Dessert Wine

Made from a blend of 5 grape varietals: Riesling, Vignoles, Vidal Blanc, Arctic Riesling and LaCrescent.  Fresh aromas of juicy summer fruits awaken the senses with this perfectly balanced late harvest wine.  It's lusciously sweet and finishes elegantly with refreshing notes of citrus.

Coming in May...

2010 Cayuga White

Crisp and dry with notes of citrus.  A blend of the ever popular Cayuga with a touch of Chardonnay and Riesling.
