Ice WIne Harvest 2010
On December 9 at a cool 13 degrees F, we picked and pressed this year's harvest of Vidal Blanc and Arctic Riesling grapes to make our 2010 vintage Ice Wine. Check out the video below for a look at our frozen harvest.

Winemakers Notes: The Ice wine harvest was a surprise challenge this year, thanks to an unannounced (and unobserved!) visit from turkeys only days before harvesting our Vidal Blanc and Arctic Riesling grapes. They got at least half of the harvest in spite of some very robust netting. What we did get was of high quality, and since it was a small harvest we combined it with our Arctic Riesling grapes that we usually process as our Rhapsody Ice Wine. We think it will make an excellent blend. We are planning to call this blended Ice wine "Duet". Look for it to be released some time in mid summer 2011.
