Greetings!

Those of us that have grown up in the Thibodaux area are familiar with the Thibodaux landmark, The Foundry.  It was a popular going out place for the younger crowd in the 70s-80s.  Then it was turned into a country-and-western bar and dance hall, The Wrangler.  That's where I spent many a night line dancing with friends and hanging out.  Toby Keith even sang there (before he became famous)!

So a lot of us were sad when it was closed down and looked like it might be another one of our beautiful old buildings that would go to ruin.  But for about a year now, we've been watching as the old Foundry got a new facelift!  Every time we'd pass by, we'd check to see what was new as construction was under way.

Well, we don't have to wait any longer!  TODAY it opens for lunch and dinner as The Foundry on the Bayou!--a sports bar/restaurant with live entertainment. We'll be there and we'll let you know what we think.
