Meeting Notice    For Immediate Release
Prostate Cancer Support Group Meeting
(for Texas area residents and current patients)

Proton Therapy Center
Houston, Texas - January 28, 2010 - The regular meeting of the prostate patient group will be held on the third Thursday of January. Mary Hughes, Clinical Nurse Specialist, University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center will be the featured speaker on "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling". The meeting will be held at the Proton Therapy Center, Room PTC 1.2008 from 1:00 to 2:30 PM.

If you're in town for treatment, a follow up visit with the Proton Therapy Center, a consultation or live in the Houston area please join me and the other Pals on Thursday for an interesting talk by Mary. Mary has given a similar talk before to the ProtonPals group and has outstanding credentials. She's been supporting cancer patients in MDACC since the mid 80s including males with ED and their partners.  Mary won the 2009 Mara Morgensen Flaherty Memorial Lectureship Award in 2009. The talk will be followed by Q&A and a round table with introduction of new members.

Also on February 25th, from 1-2:30 PM, Dr. Lorenzo Cohen, Director of Integrative Medicine Program at U T MDACC will talk about Complementary and Althernative Medicine and new advances. Here's an interesting preview of what Dr. Cohen is working on supported by grants from National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute Mind Body Medicine

New Approach! Starting this month and continuing for 2010 we're going to mail two items to you every month. One will be a notice about the support group meeting, usually in the first week of the month and the other will be our regular newsletter after the support group meeting.
