| Is Your Data Safe?
|
 |
Do you know if your company has a protocol in place for the backup of your Futura data files? Is it being done on daily basis? Are you sure that it's working and that the data was actually saved? Is the copy of the data left inside your office?----
If you hesitated at all when you read the above questions, it may be time for you to consider using Futura's (SOB)--Secondary Offsite Back-up Service.
For as low as $20.00 per month you could avoid ever having to worry about a disastrous loss of any patient or billing data.

OUR GOAL: Improved Communication
|
Greetings!
The Futura team would like to take a moment to thank you for your business. As a way of improving communication with clients and improve the awareness of different features our software has to offer, we have initiated the publishing of this monthly e-newsletter. As you may be aware, we have recently sent out a few email items based upon the addresses we have collected in our files over the years. We have attempted to respond to any removal requests received, but do ask for a little patience as we improve our records. Please use the Unsubscribe link below if you have received this mailing in error or do not wish to receive any future issues. Or, if someone has forwarded this email to you, please use the link to the left to join our mailing list.

Ongoing Buzz on Satisfaction Surveys

As many of you know, one of the standards for ABC facility accreditation, as stated on page 24 of their
"Comprehensive Orthotic & Prosthetic Accreditation Standards" document, includes "The organization's performance and the services it provides are
assessed through patient
satisfaction surveys." There are many different options available for an office to accomplish this task by using different programs or outside services with a wide range of associated costs involved. So, whether or not your office currently has a program in place, we wanted to remind you that the Futura software also provides options for this type of task -- at no additional charge. Your staff can quickly and easily generate a survey document to either mail or hand to a patient by utilizing a merge file within Futura. You would be able to create your own questions and decide if you wish for it to include patient information or not. As it has been mentioned before, our Technical Support team is able to assist you with this as long as you provide the text and basic layout of the document in an electronic format via email to support@futuraintl.com.
There is also a Patient Form document available titled "Patient Survey" (Token: PATSURV1.SCP). This is a fairly standard set of questions which cannot be customized at this time. If you do not find it in your list of Patient Forms, which is accessed in the Options menu on a Patient master record, you can either insert it using the token listed or contact our team to assist you. Often, clients will have a merge document which matches the Patient Survey so that once it is returned, the staff can document the answers within Futura for improved records and security.

Did You Know ?
Another often overlooked feature within the Futura software is the use of MultiCodes when creating Transactions or Transaction Templates and Quotes. By creating your own MultiCode templates with unlimited HCPC codes, employees can dramatically decrease the time involved with these daily tasks. Instead of inserting each service line individually, a user can instead select a MultiCode and with just a few mouse clicks or keystrokes, have all lines completed in just a portion of the time. Don't fear that by using a MultiCode template, it's then set in stone. The beauty of the feature is that the software still allows changes to the record so that you can accurately charge out the device. For example, you might need to change the quantity on one HCPC or remove just one of the codes because you didn't supply it. You have the option to setup a MultiCode for the user to select each HCPC code they wish to insert into the record or to have all codes inserted by default. Your choice. MultiCode use is also an excellent way for your facility to create an internal system for coding oversight to help find human errors. For example, a MultiCode is created for a common fabrication for a BK prosthesis with a vacuum suspension system and all of the HCPC codes that your facility determines should be used. Say your practitioner submits their coding to your billing department and they then find that one of the codes contained in the MultiCode template is missing. This difference could then be reviewed and corrected BEFORE anything else is ever done. In some cases, this could be a huge loss of revenue for your office if a component is provided to the patient, but not included in your charges. It's unfortunate, but this type of error is not that uncommon. MultiCodes can be created from the menu location of SETUP/CODES/MULTICODES. Don't lose out! Use the features available within the Futura software to your best advantage. |
Meet Our Staff: Cathy
In our premier issue, we discussed the option for clients to add their company logo to Futura print documents, so we thought it might be a good time to introduce you to our team member, Cathy, as she is most often the person who would complete the programming task for your facility.Cathy moved to Florida from Attleboro, Massachusetts 25 years ago. The day she landed she met her husband of
24 years. While raising their twin boys she earned a culinary degree
then later went back to college full time and earned her degree in
computer programming and joined the Futura team in 2005. When not
assisting with technical help she enjoys boating, cooking, miniatures,
spending time with family and friends, and playing with her golden
retriever, Kacey. |
