I'm a Triathlete! My Day at the SheROX Tri by Amanda L.
amanda at sherox

The first time I met Coach Joe about 8 weeks ago, I knew that as crazy as my decision was to sign up for a sprint and an olympic triathlon this summer, it was probably the best thing I could have done.  The first race on my docket was the SheROX Triathlon in Naperville, and I only had two months to prepare!  MORE

Leon's Fastest...Longest Triathlon by Jeff P.
jeff and maxine

The start of another race season - another chance to test one's physical and mental limits; to discover a little bit more about whom we are as endurance athletes; to taste the fruits of the hard, seemingly endless grind called off-season training.  It's time to have fun!

My season began with a nice Olympic distance race in Hammond, Indiana called Leon's Fastest.  It was the first of several races I hoped would get me to the bigger stage of triathlon racing at the USAT Age Group National Championship in Burlington, Vermont.  MORE

Bigelow is Back, Baby!  by Lynn B.
lynn at sherox 2011

After a year off recovering from shoulder surgery, it is great to be back in the saddle (literally) again.  The SheRox Women's Tri was my first real test for my shoulder and I must say, it held up great.  I arrived early in the morning (around 4:30am) and was the first one in transition (other than the guys setting up the transition); this allowed me to scout out Centennial Pool and stare down my enemy.  It was quite peaceful and race conditions were perfect.  MORE

ET Bike Club is for everyone!
Camp tire repair

"ET Bike Clubbers are super nice. The riders made me feel welcome right away and the coaches were super helpful. They had route maps and made sure that nobody was dropped or left out on the road. They even stopped and did an impromptu tire changing clinic right on the side of the road when one of the riders got a flat. I enjoyed the whole experience and plan to come back every week."

Want to make new friends, ride in a safe group environment on country roads, be supported by experienced ride leaders and certified coaches from Experience Triathlon, and have big fun? Then ET Bike Club is for you!  MORE

Starting The Tri Season Out Right by Brian V.
brian run at batavia

The Batavia Triathlon has been my first tri of the season three out of the last four years. I'd never really been too serious about my first race of the year and my training (or lack there of) and results showed it.

Back in early February I decided that I wanted to take my triathlon performance to the next level. I bought a tri bike to replace my road bike for race duty and a coworker of mine told me about Coach Joe and Experience Triathlon Coaching Services. Thanks Helen! Shortly after that, I was on a customized training plan built by the coach.  MORE
Way to go, Coach Judie!
Great job image

Thanks, Andy, for taking time to share your feedback.

"...I'm now in the second session of the ET Masters Swim at the Continental Towers, instructed by Judie Refvik.  When I started the first class, I could swim one lap before having to stop and catch my breath.  I have exercised consistently for years, but I've never been a swimmer.  After one and sessions of the class, I'm now swimming the 20 laps needed to complete the sprint distance.  I have just under 3 months to go, and am going to start lake swimming soon enough.

Judie has been an excellent teacher and mentor to me throughout the past few months, and I recently signed up with her to provide weekly training plans and advice in preparation for August..."  MORE
