International Green Construction Code (IGCC) Scheduled for release in March of 2010, the first draft of the International Green Construction Code's (IGCC) primary focus is developing green construction practices and sustainable design for all commerical building types.
The renewed interest in further developing the code comes from the international push for green products and sustainability, the demands from rating systems such as LEED, and the recognition that states and jurisdictions would soon need to draft their own sustainability codes.
The Sustainable Building Technology Committee (SBTC) believes the new green code will:
- Be progressive and forward looking in scope
- Offer the flexibility to account for varying local and regional conditions such as energy resources
- Be consistent and coordinated with the ICC family codes and standards
- Apply to traditional and high performance buildings
- Provide criteria to measure compliance

Servidyne Knows How
Do you know what your building's carbon footprint is?
If not, it's time you do.
In order to develop a program that maximizes energy savings and reduces your buildings carbon foot print, you need to start with a Servidyne Energy Audit.
An Energy Audit is one of the most important steps in the program development process. Energy audits provide building owners with an updated road-map of their asset infrastructure and energy usage and costs. Audits let you know where you are today, and what you can do to realize a better tomorrow.
The time to act is now!
