| Senator Bayh Holding Hearings on Health Care Reform |
Greetings!
Throughout the month of July, Senator Evan Bayh will be holding town hall meetings across Indiana on health care reform. He will be speaking and listening, giving attendees an opportunity to explain their own views and ideas about the nation's health care system.
Decisions made by Congress will have a significant impact on services to persons with disabilities.

The Peak Community Services Foundation provides support to persons with developmental disabilities who are on waiting lists for services.
There are over 19,000 people in the State of Indiana on waiting lists now - at least 200 in Cass and Pulaski Counties. A national source (from ANCOR) puts the number of those on the Indiana waiting list at closer to 32,000. If this number is accurate, the State of Indiana is home to over 10% of those who are on waiting lists nationwide.
Those who are on the list will wait for 10 years or longer to receive support.
