Our legislators will be meeting soon to resolve budget issues for the next two years.

According to INARF, it is possible the FSSA proposed
five percent reimbursement cuts for Medicaid providers
may find its way into the new budget proposal.

Please contact your Senator and Representative to let them know that services to persons with developmental disabilities will be severely impacted statewide if this reimbursement cut is put into place.

Indiana Legislature in Special Session
Greetings!

We hope you enjoy our first edition of eNewsNotes!

This will be a semi-regular publication, going to various groups at various times. For example, if you are a Peak Advocate, you will receive updates from this email. If you are a Board Member, you might receive other notices from time to time. If you are a Friend of Peak Community Services, we promise to use this only when we need to share something with you!

This will be our "social networking" avenue. For now, we will leave the tweeting and painting to others.

For this first issue, we want to draw your attention to the Legislative Special Session. Please check out the Advocate's Corner in the left-hand column.
June Tours

We are giving tours only a few times this year, and one set of tours is coming up in June. They were scheduled for June specifically for teachers, but anyone is invited to attend.

In Winamac, the tour will be on Thursday, June 11, starting at 9:00 and ending by 10:00.

In Logansport, the tour will be on Thursday, June 18, starting at 8:00 and ending by 9:00.

The tours are concise and informative; you will meet our dedicated staff and many of our consumers.

If you haven't taken advantage of the tour yet, please plan to do so. RSVP by contacting Kathi Thompson at (574) 753-4104 ext 128, or by sending email.
Support the Foundation

The Peak Community Services Foundation provides support to persons with developmental disabilities who are on waiting lists for services.

There are over 19,000 people in the State of Indiana on waiting lists now - at least 200 in Cass and Pulaski Counties - and the wait time will be over 10 years.
