We had a great turnout and had a wonderful lunch. Thank you Frisella's!
For those of you that missed the lunch, before everyone was dismissed we tried something new. We asked if there was someone in particular that they wanted to speak to before everyone left. This gave the attendees the opportunity to let a specific person know to stay back so they can connect. A lot of business cards were passed and connections were made. For the second activity we had a couple of our members give testimonials. This too sparked more interest. Overall there was increased value to everyone in attendance and many more connections were made. |

The 24th Annual Flashback Car Show Community Fundraiser is Almost Here! | |
 The 24th Annual Flashback Car ShowCommunity Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, August 27th from 6-11PM in the Glendora Village. This family fun event features a car and motorcycle show, two stages of live entertainment, food, beer, wine, kids zone and fun for the whole family!

Goody Bag Stuffers
Goody Bags Stuffers are needed for the bags that are given to all the show participants. This is a great way to get your company's information to everyone entering a vehicle at Flashback. If you would like to be included please bring 200 items to the Chamber by August 24th. Items to be considered: Car Related Items, Pens, Note Pads, Small Calendars, Etc.

Assemblyman Tim Donnelly Presentation at America's Christian Credit Union | |
On Friday, June 24th our 59th District Assemblyman Tim Donnelly spoke at a luncheon at America's Christian Credit Union. Mr. Donnelly presented to a packed house and answered questions from people in attendance.

California Sales Tax Rate Changes in July

California Statewide Sales and Use Tax Rate
to Decrease by 1% on July 1, 2011
Statewide Base Tax Rate Decreases from 8.25% to 7.25%
Effective July 1, 2011, the one percent sales and use tax rate increase that was approved with the state budget and effective April 1, 2009, will expire lowering the statewide base tax rate from 8.25 percent to 7.25 percent. In areas where there are voter-approved district taxes, the total tax rate related to sales and purchases will be the statewide base tax rate of 7.25 percent plus the applicable district tax. (See the California Sales and Use Tax Rates by County and City or the table below.)
