Greetings from the Glendora Chamber of Commerce!
We have two great events planned for March. We begin with our Networking Breakfast on March 4th with guest speaker Anne Woods from Express Employment Professionals who will share the Top 5 Business & Employment Trends for 2011. We have also scheduled a luncheon on March 31st with guest speaker Planning Director Jeff Kugel. Jeff will make a presentation on redevelopment and economic development in Glendora. Please get your RSVP in early. |

| Cuisines of the Foothills: Call for Vendors and Sponsors | 
The Glendora Chamber is pleased to announce the Cuisines of the Foothills event will be held on Monday, May 16th, 2011 at the Glendora Country Club from 5-8PM. The event will feature cuisines from various local restaurants, beer and wine, live musical entertainment, tequila tasting and much more! Admission is only $20.00 advanced purchase or $25.00 at the door.

| 2010 Citizens of the Year: Congratulations to Stan & Debbie Deal! |
The Glendora Chamber Citizen of the Year Committee is pleased to announce that Stan and Debbie Deal have been selected as the 2010 Citizens of the Year. Both have been very active in their service to the community of
Glendora for most of the 28 years they have resided here. A banquet will be held in their honor on Thursday, April 21st at the Glendora Country Club. Reservations are $45.00 per person, and are required. Beginning March 15th, those who prepay will be placed on a reservation list.

| Business Scholarship Opportunity |
The Glendora Chamber will once again be awarding two $1,000 Scholarships to high school students who intend to follow a business curriculum at an accredited two or four-year college/university. The application deadline is Thursday, April 21st by 5pm.
Scholarship Criteria:
♦The candidates will have expressed the intent to follow a business curriculum at an accredited two or four-year college/university.
♦Candidates will have a minimum 3.5 non-weighted GPA.
♦Candidates will have demonstrated a leadership role in student government, team or individual sports, band, pep squad, community, church or other extra-curricular activity.
♦Candidates must reside in Glendora.
♦These scholarships will be awarded on a merit basis.
♦All funds will be directed to the institution's financial aid office or office of the registrar in the candidate's name.
♦Finalists must be available for interviews in early May.
♦Family members of the scholarship committee shall be ineligible to apply for this award.
