MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS
Frontier Deploys Latest Broadband Technology Across Ohio
Customers of Frontier Communications in Ohio are now enjoying the benefits of the company's recent aggressive deployment of the latest generation broadband technology. The company fully deployed Reconfigurable Optical Add-Drop Multiplexer (ROADM) systems throughout its service area in Ohio. These broadband networks improve the online experience for customers in terms of Internet speeds and broadband availability while enhancing network flexibility and manageability for the company.
Communities now served by this technology include: Ashland, Athens, Bowling Green, Brunswick, Bryan, Cambridge, Celina, Circleville, Dover, Georgetown, Marion, Medina, New Philadelphia, Piketon, Norwalk, Oxford, Sylvania, Troy and Wilmington.
The flexible optical network capabilities of ROADM are important as network capacity continues to grow and as demand for Frontier's higher-capacity residential and business broadband services increases.
Frontier's Packet-Optical Transport Network can now deliver more than 30 different types of residential or business services such as Ethernet (Fiber to the Office or Cell Site), Session Internet Protocol (SIP) trunking, Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) and Dedicated Internet Access Services (DIA).
"Frontier's investment in multi-service ROADM technology in Ohio enables us to give customers the latest broadband technology and increased network speeds," said Dave Davidson, Ohio Senior Vice President and General Manager. "Our ROADM network will also....FULL ARTICLE INSIDE |

From the Desk of David Mueller, Chairman
Thank You!
It's almost impossible for me to believe that this year is already coming to an end and with it, my role as Chairman. As one of my last official actions, I want to thank you, all of our members, my fellow board members, ex-officio officers, committee chairs and the entire Chamber staff for the continuous support I received throughout the year.
Perhaps the biggest honor goes to Debra Lynn-Schmitz, the Chambers true leader who makes everything happen. The passion and dedication she has for her job and to the business community is amazing. She is a true professional in every sense of the word and as a business owner in the community - I am thankful for her many years of dedicated work advocating for the local business owner.
It has also been an honor to serve side by side with so many great business leaders that I've met through the Chamber. You are the men and women who own and operate businesses that create jobs and economic opportunity; you provide benefits that give your employees and their families' security and peace of mind; and contribute significantly to our tax base which supports schools, public safety and other community services.... From the Desk of Debra Lynn-Schmitz, President

Black Friday and Cyber-Monday are over. You may have seen the email that is making its way around about the 'New American Tradition". If not, you can Google it and see it for yourself. The point of the email is shopping locally.
Your shopping habits make a difference. If you are doing all your shopping in a mall, online or out of town then you are contributing to the economy. If you make an effort to spend your money in your community you are making a difference in our local economy. Shopping locally supports jobs, taxes, employers, schools, government and organizations at home.
Our local businesses contribute to charities, school programs and meaningful programs right here, in your community. Employees pay taxes and support other local businesses. While you are out doing your holiday shopping, please make an effort to spend some of your money right here. Go out to dinner, get your hair done, or shop in one of our local stores. Let your money circulate through the greater Medina area and make a difference.
While we're on the subject of our community there are so many things you can do to make this a memorable holiday season for...FULL ARTICLE INSIDE |
