Greetings from Cedarburg!
June marks Cedarburg's long anticipated 25th Annual Strawberry Festival, scheduled for June 26-27, 2010. It's all about the "Arts on the Avenue" arts and crafts shows, the Plein Air Painting competition and of course, everything strawberry. Cedar Creek Winery highlights their Strawberry Blush wine while delicacies range from strawberry shortcake, strawberry pie, strawberry slush, chocolate-covered strawberries and even strawberry brats. There are lots of bands throughout the Historic District all weekend long. Kids will have fun in the park with special activities, entertainment, and the Duck Races. Strawberry Contests will take place at Cedar Creek Settlement.
Cedarburg's first "Ladies Night Out" was a smashing success and is sure to be repeated in the future. The Washington House Inn offered tours of a few guest rooms and held a drawing for a Spa Getaway Package. Many merchants offered special sales, in-store perks and appetizers to welcome the ladies as they sauntered throughout the downtown Historic District. What a delight to showcase our tastefully appointed guest rooms to our local community. We'll keep you posted for the date of the next event.
Whether your destination is Cedarburg or points beyond, you're bound to be enchanted with your time in our historic community--and there's nothing quite like Cedarburg in the summertime! Shop the Friday Farmer's Market, catch a concert in the park or enjoy a refreshing cocktail or juice smoothie at the many pubs, bistros and cafes along Cedar Creek (see the June Calendar of Events below). Finish your stay with an overnight stay at The Washington House Inn where guest rooms are offered for just about any group configuration; 2 queen beds, king lofts with sleeper sofas, and king or queen rooms with whirlpools, walk-in steam showers and fireplaces. Cedarburg is abuzz every weekend and advance reservations are highly recommended. Add an extra night onto your weekend stay to take advantage of our new reduced mid-week rates which are available Sunday-Thursday nights year-round. View our weekend and mid-week rate schedule at www.WashingtonHouseInn.com or call the Inn anytime to discuss room amenities and availability.
We look forward to your stay! |
