The Alliance of Manufacturers & Educators is expanding to include all interested Chamber members. The need for a qualified workforce has been identified. This group will meet quarterly to keep abreast of what skills are needed in the workplace, which ones are not readily available. The frontline educators at the table will then have firsthand knowledge of the areas in which to focus curriculum development. Everyone wins - employers are able to find the skills they are looking for while area students have job-ready skills.

Aurora First is a re-organization of the Aurora Regional Chamber's Development & Public Works. The group has been totally reworked and will move forward as Aurora First. The idea behind the name is to have everyone (Chamber members, developers, and city staff) thinking Aurora First in development: whether expanding a business or creating a new business. Locate in Aurora... first. The October meeting will launch the new focus. Aurora First will meet on the third Wednesday of each month from 11:00 a.m. to noon.
