Greetings!
 
Welcome to the newly designed eBusiness Update. Below, you will see updates to current programs and features - and a few announcements for some great programs this year to benefit you and your business. The staff is excited and energized about this new year. We believe you will be, too.
 
If you would like to become more involved with these programs and activities, let us know. We welcome our members' involvement in the planning. We do, of course, look forward to seeing you take advantage of your investment in the Chamber and to utilizing the benefits available to you as a member.
 
If you have any questions, let us know. Our purpose is to support the business community and strengthen our region. We look forward to working with you to achieve that.

Chamber Board Approves Name Change
Aurora Regional Chamber of CommerceAt the 89th Annual Business Celebration & Awards held last Thursday at Fox Valley Country Club, it was announced that the Board of Directors had approved the name change to Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce. 
 
In making the announcement, Joseph Henning, IOM, president of the Chamber, explained, "Your Chamber has long held a responsible role in positively creating change for our member businesses. As our role has grown to include membership from eight counties - and with significant membership numbers from Oswego, Naperville, Montgomery, Sugar Grove and Batavia - the Board unanimously agreed that our name should reflect our membership."
 
Following a thunderous round of applause from those present, those in attendance shared  a positive reaction to the change.

The annual Business-Education Kick-off Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, September 29, at 8:00 a.m. at the Prisco Community Center at Illinois Avenue and Lake Street in Aurora. Superintendents from Districts 129, 131, and 204 have been invited to speak.
 
Join the more than 100 Chamber members who are actively addressing the workforce needs of the future by establish a partnership with one or more of our area schools.
 
Registration for Chamber members is $15; non-members is $20.
