Good day to all of you China Dine-ah fans!
I'd like to introduce to you two of our newest tv celebrities who will be in our newest tv commercial. They are Nathan and Emily who are the grandchildren Peter and Diane Stanewick. I met Diane through the KV YMCA of which I have been a volunteer for the last ten years and Diane is our Finance Director. One day at the YMCA I mentioned to Diane that we were shooting a new spot and she was quick to tell me that her granddaughter has a dream of being a professional actress someday. Diane thought that Emily would be a perfect fit in our commercial. So we invited her and her brother Nathan to the shoot.

Below is a picture of Stephanie Westbye who is an avid reader of the newsletter and a customer at the Dine-ah. She tells me she is in love with the place and in her most recent email she sent me this photo of her and Dude at the Windsor Fair. Stephanie assured me that her next dog is going to be named Dude! Thank you Stephanie and we hope to see you soon.

I receive many nice comments while at the restaurant and also through the newsletter and I would like to share a special one that I received this past week.
"A personal reflection: When I moved to the area, I was sooo inspired with all that was right with the China Dine-ah! I do not know how else to put it, I could just feel there was extensive attention to every detail and I felt it every time I came in for a meal. It inspired me so that I was ready to come to work for you as soon as possible (without checkin' with you or Sherri first!). " It's notes like this, that keeps the fires burning, allowing us to work the long hours and provide the attention to detail and as a result, we are able to produce the meals and provide the service that you all enjoy.
Today and for the foreseeable future we have added on Thursday nights our "All You Can Eat Chicken Tenders" dinner. It is the same delicious tenders, that you have all helped make to be one of our top selling menu items. On Tuesday nights, our "All You Can Eat Haddock and Fries" (Fish 'n Chips) dinner has been such a hit, we decided to try another similar special. It's out of my hands and up to all of you to see if the chicken is as big of a hit as the haddock. I will let you know in a future newsletter.
When I finish this newsletter I am headed to Newport, Rhode Island for a two day bank convention as a trustee of Kennebec Savings Bank in Augusta. I will be sure to take a few photos of several of the mansions in Newport and include them in next week's newsletter. After all, isn't it nice to take a peek into the lives of those who helped build America. These individuals were true entrepreneurs. I'm looking forward to the trip. I have seen postcards of these mansions but never up close and personal. It should be a treat that I am looking forward to sharing with all.
