The time has come!
After hearing, back on November 8, 2011 from a patron and a loyal reader of our newsletter, we have decided to ask for your help. Shari from Brunswick suggested that we contact Guy Fieri of the t.v. show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives to shoot a segment for his show. Since then we have had many of the exact same suggestions.
My first reaction was "are we worthy?" After contacting those who had the idea and talking to many of our regulars, all felt that we are more than worthy of being featured on Guy's show. How do the producers find the "off the beaten path" eateries to feature on the show? It is our understanding that customers write in suggesting their favorite eateries peaking the interest of the shows producers. They then go on a fact finding mission eventually choosing an establishment that is fun, has great food, and frankly makes a good story. After researching this we have learned that the camera crews will shoot between 15 and 17 hours of film to produce a 7 minute segment often featuring a menu item that is most popular at the location they are shooting.
With that said, I would ask all of you to share your thoughts on why the Dine-ah is special to you. Please key in on your on your favorite food item, and why you enjoy it so much. One of the menu items that has the "wow" affect is our big breakfast which comes with two French toasts, two pancakes, two eggs, meat and home fries. Please speak to your favorite menu item and we will let the chips fall where they may!
